    A different experience.
I run mostly half marathons in the new age shoes with foam. I saw this and thought that I would give it a try and see how I felt. First thing to note is that these things are really light and its because they are going for absolute minimalist style. That said they are surprisingly comfortable when you put them on. They do have a wide toe which is super comfortable abd I wish more shoes did this. That said it is true to size so its not like you should drop a shoe size to get these. The fit is really nice and your feet can breath. The laces are great and tie off really well. There is not an additional hole at the top to do a runners knot but they are snug enough that I don’t think you need them.As for the ride, they are actually pretty good, I was a little worried that a couple miles in my feet would be absolutely aching from the lack of padding but the sole of this shoe worked well. You can definitely feel more on the ground then a thick soled foam shoe but that is not bad. I did a 8.5 mile run with a combination of trail running, gravel, asphalt, and cement at an 8:30 to 10:00 pace with hills and flat sections. Throughout all of that my feet did not hurt at all and usually I am sensitive to new shoes if they don’t work for me. This was a definite plus. For 179.99 the shoes are pretty comparable to other running shoes if not a bit cheaper then the high end ones. I am currently training for a half and will put this shoe into my rotation for my easy runs. I’d like to get more miles into this before completely saying if its great. As it is these appear to be good shoes and if you are looking for an alternative to the thick bouncy foam ones this is probably it. I will plan on updating again at 50 miles and 100 miles to see if my initial impressions stand up to the test if mileage.

I like them as much as the now unavailable New Balance Minimus Trail shoes.
I had a very expensive pair of New Balance Minimus Trail shoes that I really liked and wore so often that they eventually wore out. But by the time they did, New Balance had discontinued them and I couldn’t find them in my size, (not even a used pair on EBay).I was leery about these shoes because I couldn’t try them on and I wasn’t familiar with the brand but I’m very happy with them. They fit true to size, are comfortable and well-made. There’s plenty of toe room up front and my orthotics (for arch support) fit beautifully. The shoes are minimalist enough that they’re almost invisible and I like the lack of logos or anything flashy so I can combine them with dress shoes and use them as my running shoes and second pair on business trips.I also like the lugs on the sole. They have a little more dimension than the New Balance shoes did and I think that’ll work well in mud and on other slippery surfaces. If I have any complaint it’s that there’s no second lace hole at the top of the shoe to facilitate a runner’s knot. I haven’t worn them on enough runs to know if my heel will slip so I don’t know if it will matter, and I can always use an awl to poke another hole through the side, but I wonder what the manufacturer knows about running if they didn’t think to include this little feature. If I remember, I’ll add to this review after I’ve added a few months and more miles, but right now I’m happy with them.

    Feel what’s under foot!
First shoe I have worn that feels like part of my foot is the best way I can describe it, they are super lightweight, yet my foot is not flat-footed, as if there was no arch support. There isYou’ll also notice you have. I don’t know more square inches. I guess of foot contacting the ground.I’ll be using these to ride skateboards. Electric boards, because you really need to feel the board. These are going to be so sweet. I can’t wait to get on my board. Didn’t come with anything specifically talking about the upkeep washing. I’m just going to do warm soap and water in a RAG. I want these to last as long as possible, but I’m going to wear them out. Because I’m going to wear them a lot. Never had a shoe fit like this or feel like this. Honestly, it’s great. My foot is normally 8 and a 1 to 9 regular Or if anything a little narrow and these are wide and they fit fantastic, if you’re looking for a natural feel, yet doesn’t leave you flat-footed. And unprotected, this is it, you’re going to feel the ground under your feet for sure. And it’s like you’re your foot is spread out. You have more contacting the ground. I know that sounds weird, but wait till you try them on. You’ll see what I mean. If someone was to say, stand there, and I’m going to try to push you over what shoes do you want to put on before we do this? These would be them if that makes sense. Weird, but cool And they’re a good looking shoe to bootI don’t know if that’s a pun or not.L o l

    Pricey, but quality.
I really like these shoes, but honestly, the shape kinda bothers me just a little. Since they are wide, they look a little different. Having said that, they are very well made, lightweight and comfortable. I find them true to size, so you can order your regular size. Arch support is good, and they make for comfortable walking shoes. I love the webbed look of the material and that makes them airy, as well. I’m somewhat uncomfortable with the price. I wouldn’t call them a value buy. They are pricey, but good quality.

    Awesome shoes.
I love these shoes, they are overpriced in my opinion but these fit great. Its hard to explain, but my foot feels closer to the ground in a way that makes my steps feel more confident, they are super grippy and I could easily imagine how they would be beneficial during trails/hiking. My girlfriend has a pair that she likes to wear too, they seem high quality and that they’ll last for a while. Its a very flat shoe, no arch support so keep that in mind.
